Online Dating is a big deal around the world, and millions of people have shown their support in the recent iDate 2009 event, a biannual event in which numerous companies gather to discuss how to improve their services and keep their magic in helping customers find their perfect matches. The most recent took place in Los Angeles in June 2009, where CEOs and representatives gathered for several days of discussion and a little bit of fun as well.

The guests received top treatment for their participation and were able to stay in luxurious hotels and eat the exquisite provided food, making this a fun-filled event. This luxury was part of a package, however, with the responsibility of important daily meetings in which to discuss the future of internet dating services. Many breakthroughs were accomplished during these days, as customers can expect more personalization, increased customer involvement with the improvement of services, and integration with the other common ways that couples normally meet each other. These three main goals for online dating services around the world are bringing the industry one step closer into pleasing all of their customers and become a valuable tool in connecting people together. After two days of hard working, representatives were able to return to their companies with the news and set their goals for the year.

These representatives will not be able to rest for long, however, as the next Internet Dating Conference is in September at London, England. Hopefully, representatives from rivaling companies can once again put aside the competition and collaborate in advancing the industry of internet dating.

If they still want to go ahead with the date they either turn up in the library to prove their love and go on a date, or leave the house and walk away with their suitcase forever. Rejection was never so harsh!
